So I'm a busy person or just really lazy. I am now about to tell you all about the rest of my New York trip. Lucky you! Good thing I wrote down what happened. Anything in italics is what I am adding today. Here we go...back a few pages in the journal.

August 18th

Got up around 9:30 and rushed down for breakfast. Took a cab to Battery Park and took pictures of the Statue of Liberty. Went to the bus stop and took the Brooklyn tour with James who was pretty funny and majorly gung ho about Brooklyn. After the tour we went to Chipotles which was pretty awesome actually...I miss Chipotles. Wandered around Borders for a bit. Took a cab to Rockafeller Center/NBC Studios. We took the NBC Studio tour and saw the sets of Nightline, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and SNL. After we checked out the NBC experience store. Went back to hotel and bought tickets for 9 to 5, Wicked, and Jersey Boys(maybe) At the time it was a unsure thing if we actually had those tickets. Showered, relaxed and at 6 we left for supper. Ate at Planet Hollywood and went to Avenue Q where we found out that our tickets were actually for Monday and we missed it. They told us to stick around until just before to see if they could get us tickets but no go :( I suggested we buy tickets for Saturday right then. We went in to get them and the theatre gave us comped tickets for excellent seats! Feeling a bit better but still stupid. Bought some souveneirs on Times Square and then went to Walgreens to get some random junk. Went back to hotel and watched TV for the rest of the night. Crazy thunderstorm around 10pm. I just want to add that the box office staff of Avenue Q absolutely rock!

August 19th
Relax day(sort of) Slept til eleven. Left hotel at 12:30. Got pretzel dogs from Auntie Anne's (yum) I just got an Idina flashback...even though I had my pretzel dog at the airport the day after Idina... Got our tickets for The Fantasticks. We had about thirty minutes before it let in so we went to try to cool down(it was disgustingly hot) Starbucks was full, the one that Natalie and I chilled at in March while waiting for Wicked! Mcdonalds was full, so we loitered in Duane Reads. Went into The Fantasticks. Front row seats but super small theatre. Show was quite good. Afterwards we went to Ruby Tuesday for supper and then back to hotel for a bit of quiet time before Hair. Left hotel at 7:20 off to Hair. Good seats about halfway up on the end of the center section of the orchestra seating. Sat beside rally annoying people. Hair was awesome! Very raunchy (overt sexuality) and had a surprising (and unexpected) nude scene. Very audience interactive. During Let the Sun Shine at the end anyone who wanted to could go on stage and dance with the actors. (Very coo!) Side note: I did not...shock. Went straight back to hotel for beds (yay!)

August 20th
Got up at 7:15 and were dressed and breakfasted at 7:45 ish and off to the Empire State building hoping for better visibility than the last time. Stopped at Grand Central Station on the way back to the hotel where we rested for about an hour. Went on the George M. Cohan theatre district tour which was ok but I already knew a lot of the facts. Walked to the Circle Line cruise(stopped at diner on the way) Where they played Wicked on the radio! Saw the statue. Cabbed back to hotel and rested an hour. Got Goodburger for dinner. Got ready for 9 to 5. Seats were third row centre. Show was great! Allison Janney was awesome and I love Megan Hilty! Tried to Stage door but the Security Guard said Megan wasn't coming out tonight :( Which as it turns our was a lie because I know someone who met her that night :( Terrified a Fanzel. Went back to hotel armed with cheesecake from Juniors

August 21st
Was going to go see The Today Show but chose sleep instead. Got up at 9:45. Left room at 11. Went to Colony store and NBC store (alone) and bought several things I didn't need. Got lunch (Chipotle) and went back to room. Left around 2 to go on the Radio City Music Hall tour. Very Cool. Went to Bloomingdales, Serendipity, and Dylan' s candy bar where we spent about $150 on candy. Walke dto Gershwin for lottery. Didn't win :( Went to Applebees for supper and back to Gershwin for Wicked. Walked back to hotel. Le uber pooped ...apparently I was quite tired :P

August 22nd
Up at 9. Behind the Emerald Curtain at 10. Very cool and interesting. Went back to hotel to change and then went to lunch at Planet Hollywood and then off to Avenue Q. Got program for Hair before. Avenue Q rocked! Third row seats. After the show we snuck into Next to Normal lobby so I could get a program for it. Went back to hotel where mom napped for an hour. Went to Lindi's for supper. Mom had just cheesecake, I had breakfast :P Service sucked and food was WAY overpriced. Went to Jersey Boys. Was ok. Music was awesome story was slightly meh. Also because the whole show is comprised of popular songs people felt it was ok to sing along. IT'S NOT. You are in a broadway show. Just because I know the lyrics for all the songs of Wicked doesn't mean I sit there singing along in the theatre. Went back to hotel.

August 23rd
Slept til 10. Went for lunch at 1 at TGIFridays. Bought some souveneirs. Went to Mary Poppins. Was ok, too many little kids. Went for supper. Looked for hoodie. Went back to hotel. Packed. I guess I was sick of writing at this point :P well basically the next day we got up at some ungodly hour and flew home.

So there you go. The whole trip. We'll see if I fill you in my life since then. Maybe I will, maybe I wont. Either way I have to be up in seven hours so I am going to bed now.

We got up at about 9. Got all dressed and went downstairs to have breakfast. We got our City Passes and then headed off to the tour bus stop. We did the Uptown tour with Simon as our tour guide (who was good) and then we did the downtown tour with Frank as our tour guide (who was not so good) It was majorly hot on the bus. After the tours we went to the hotel for a little bit of quiet time. We went to TGIFridays for an early supper at around four. We stopped at Barnes and Nobel on our way back to the hotel which is always fun. We went back to the hotel to get ready for Next to Normal! Our first Broadway show of the trip! The staff were all scary and unhappy. Hello you are working for a broadway show. SMILE! Next to Normal was good, sad though. We cried a little. After the show we went to the Top of the Rock (on top of Rockafeller Center) The view was ok but not wondrous. We went back to the hotel room and watched the Nanny :P and went to bed at midnight.

Hoorah!

So I just got back from New York and lucky you will now get the opportunity to read what I did while I was there. Yay!  So August 16th...

I had to get up at 5:30 in the morning...a time I feel should not exist for any reason. Who's idea was it to put it  there anyway? Stupid -_- So I got dressed and ate some food and we actually ended up being at the airport at 7:30. Nice timing for our 8 am flight :P We flew to Calgary and landed there at 8:30 and then we hung out in the Maple Leaf lounge until 10:30 where we used their computers to buy our New York City Passes :P We went through customs at 10:30 just in case the line was crazy but it was fine and surprisingly our Customs Officer joked around with us which was wondrous. We found our gate and then went off in search of food. We decided on Harvey's. After we ate it was time to board so on the plane we trooped. Our flight was delayed about 40 minutes :(  We finally took off and I watched I Love You Man and then fell asleep during Ghosts of Girlfriends Past :D We landed at 7:40 New York time and this sketch "cab driver" gave us a ride to our hotel. We checked in and then went off in search of City Passes and food. We decided to eat a Bubba Gumps even though we had to wait like 30 minutes. It was yummy. We got some cheesecake on the way back to the hotel because you have to... and then we unpacked and went to bed.

I know right, super fun!

We all say we can't wait for summer to come and how much fun it's going to be but once you are past the age of about 14(ok ok I waited until 18 :P ) Summer no longer really means fun and instead means work. Sure you'll have a couple of adventures planned haphazardly stuck in between your many days of work but mostly you are just trading your full time school schedule for a full time work schedule which is actually more time that that 'full time' school was. If you are unlucky enough to have two jobs over the summer (or more I suppose) than you can just about kiss your social life and that rested feeling you alluded to have on weekends goodbye. Oh sure you are probably all saying "but what about all that money you are earning?" Well if you are anything like me (which I hope for your sake you are not) then you are a pathological spender. Unfortunately I have a credit card. Which means I can buy totally awesome things off the internet that I in no way need and about three days after receiving said items wonder why I ever even wanted them. So I spend large amounts of time working and very little amounts of time rolling in large amounts of money. Ok I'll stop now.

I'm making it sound like I hate summer (which I don't) and my jobs(which I also shockingly don't). I just really like to complain :D I have also managed to have some fun this summer. I went to Seattle last month to see Rent which was amazing and the rest of the trip was fun too. I never took the time to write out a nice detailed explanation of that one a la New York. Sucks. I am going back to New York in a little under a month though. Maybe I'll do another minute by minute kind of thing :P Ooh boy the same thing twice right? Yay!

Other than that I am about to embark on a house/pet sitting adventure this weekend and another one in about a week. I am le uber popular. Sssh I'll believe what I want! I am also just getting over a cold which has left me with an annoying and completely lame little cough that sounds completely fake -_-. Lame.

And there you have it. Another delightfully quick update on the life of Morgan that I know you were all so anxious to read

So hooray. I finished my last final last night so I am officially on summer break. A time for relaxing and frolicking with friends right? Wrong! A time for working your but off? Right! :( That's right. Two jobs. Unfortunately I really like them both so I don't actually have a whole lot to complain about but still complain I will! I'm sure I will be less angry when the paychecks start coming in :P But anyway. I just spent the last two weeks home alone in my massively too large house but finally my mom is home and I can hopefully get a decent nights sleep. No work tomorrow which I am darn excited about. I am going to sleep in woohoo!
So I was very excited for this weeks episode of Private Practice because Idina Menzel was in it but I have to say the episode was not great. The storyline kind of sucked and was far too obvious about the whole soap opera thing. I mean hello I do know that I basically am watching a soap opera but I don't want it to be so completely obvious. Better acting, better lines, better music. Bah! This part of the episode though was quite funny and cute and I rather enjoyed it quite a lot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DZYLtpT8tA . I do have to say unfortunately that I was not actually completely impressed with Idina's performance either(Although I suspect that has more to do with the lines not the acting :D )
But anyway I'm off...to do wondrous things that I don't feel the need to tell you about :P

This is a very detailed chronicling of our trip that I believe could be compared to a novel. Read at your own risk :P

I’m a prompt person.  I like to be on time or if possible early. Unfortunately that is not always the way it goes when you are traveling with two other people, both of whom do not know the itinerary you have planned.

It all started back in December. That week the pre-sale had started for Idina Menzel’s Brookville concert. I don’t know why I chose that one but I did. As I always do for concerts I want to see that are far away, I looked up the cost of airline tickets. The result? $800. I’m a student with a part time job and a large amount of debt to my parents so (as I knew I was going to do) I put it out of my thoughts.

It was a weekday morning and I had a final that evening at six but nothing to do during the day so I was getting ready for a wonderful fun filled day of studying. My mom, as she was flipping through the newspaper, saw an advertisement saying that Air Canada was having a 50% off seat sale. As a joke I sent a text message to Natalie, one of my more spontaneous friends, that said something like “Oh my goodness! Air Canada is having a seat sale! I can go see Idina in New York!” In sending that text I was doing two things. 1) I was joking in a way that I usually do but 2) I was secretly hoping she would ask to come. The reply I received? “Oh my gosh can I come?” After an “Are you serious?!” text back to her that was confirmed I hopped on the computer and about two hours later I had tickets to Idina’s concert and flights there and back. Oh and also another chunk of dept added to the pile but I did not care. That was an extremely happy day.

Fast forward about three months. March. Over the last three months I had spent significant amounts of time studying maps, public transit info, securing more tickets, and basically doing large amounts of planning. A week or so before the day we were set to fly my mom decided she would like to come along as I had been suggesting for a while. So we were set to meet my mom New York. She had even managed to get a ticket to Idina.

Finally that Friday came. At about 8:30 in the morning I was up and I knew there would be no more sleep happening. I packed my bag and then did some errands mostly just counting down the minutes until it would be time to go. Then finally it was. We were at the airport, then going through security, then on the plane, then in Chicago, then another plane and then we landed. In Newark, NJ. We got to our hotel room at about 1:0 am on Saturday, 28th. At 6:40 the alarm was going and off we were again. Natalie and I, making our way to the city. We got a shuttle from the hotel to a train station and then we took a train into Manhattan all the while checking off things in the imaginary list of what you 'need' to see and hear when in NYC.*

We arrived and stepped out into the street. Stopping for a minute we got our bearings and then we started walking towards what we thought was the Empire State Building (it was foggy and the top half of the building was completely hidden. Once there we spotted a Starbucks and went inside where my mom met us and we then exchanged spazzy snippets of conversation containing information about how our Fridays had been. Armed with our ‘bucks’ we headed on up to the top of the Empire State Building. Due to the fact that there was zero visibility we didn’t have to wait in line and it took all of about five minutes to get to the top where we snapped some photos of the lovely fog and then continued on our journey.

We walked around Manhattan taking pictures of everything like the crazy tourists we were. We stopped in at F.A.O. Schwartz because it is a necessary thing to do. How can you not go in and see the Piano Tom Hanks played with his feet? Afterwards we walked across the street to Central Park and opted for a horse drawn carriage ride as our way of viewing it. Upon completion of that we got our first NYC hot dogs (a very exciting thing!) and decided it was time for us to venture over to Times Square.

I’m not sure if there are words to describe Times Square. You can see pictures of it but they are nothing compared to the feeling of being there. The people, the nose, the smell, the heat and all the information that is being thrown at you all put together make an indescribable combination. The hustle and bustle, the people shoving flyers in your hands, the street vendors trying to get you to buy their things and all the tourists. I feel bad for the people who live in NYC and have to go through all that everyday. But for the visiting people it is very exciting.

We walked up and down Broadway so that we could see it all, bought NYC pizza (the kind that you have to fold to eat, and bought something from a newsstand and then we started going into stores. The Virgin Megastore was closing and everything was on sale and for sale. When I say everything, I mean everything. If you decided that you wanted them you could buy the tables and shelves, you just had to be able to get them out the door. We didn’t buy anything there and the store had been pretty much picked clean by that point. We went into m&m world and mostly gawked at all there was. I had no intention of buying anything until I saw a shirt that said “I only eat the green ones” (hello Idina fans?) It was extremely necessary that I purchase it. After a quick stop in the Hershey store we took to the street vendors so that we could buy some ‘sketch’ souveniers. Some ‘I NY’ shirts and Broadway pictures in our bags and we were set to head on to the next venture.

The next venture was actually seeing Wicked on Broadway. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen a musical it’s completely different to be able to say that you’ve seen it on Broadway. Natalie and I saw Wicked while my mom wandered around doing things that I don’t know what they were and therefore will not be telling you about them. Wicked was amazing and I enjoyed it a lot more the second time. I knew what was coming and I liked waiting for the rest of the audiences reactions. After Wicked let out began the crazy rushing that rattled Morgan’s nerves and made her quite grumpy.

Wicked let out at 4:45 and Idina’s concert started at 8:00. Where we were going was about 45 mins away. I had figured out our routes and the train that I wanted to take left the station at 5:16. The station was about a 20 minute walk from the Gershwin (were Wicked was) what all of this mean is there was no time to dally…or dilly. We decided to flag down a cab (how cool is that?) We got to the platform tickets in hand with minutes to spare. We rode the train to Long Island and then caught a cab from the station to out hotel. After checking in and freshening up we went off in search of food.

We had a pretty good dinner at a little restaurant but when we got to the restaurant it was 7:00. Me being crazy had wanted to be at the theater by 7:20, 7:30 at the latest. This caused me to be a less than exciting dinner companion. I was nervous for the concert for some reason but I was also extremely excited. I was stressed from being behind schedule and that made me irritable. Luckily the two people I was with know me and how I get when I am feeling like that so I didn’t offend them or anything. At 7:40 I informed them of the time and my mom jumped up and asked them to call us a cab. When she got back to the table and told us ten minutes I was not put in a much better mood considering that fact that we were about fifteen minutes away from the theater. We were waiting outside the restaurant which was fine because it was about 11 C with no wind which is downright balmy compared to home. When our cab finally pulled up we all piled in and off we went. This is how we met Sal, the cab driver.

Sal could be called your typical cab driver. He fits the standard set in my mind whereby all cab drivers are slightly insane. Sal had an extremely thick Long Island accent. Sal liked to sing and tap his fingers to the music he had playing quite loudly. Sal liked to talk. Sal gave us his cell number so that we could call him to pick us up when the show was done. Sal asked us what show we were going to see and then promptly forgot what we said. When we got to the venue he read the sign that said ‘Idina Menzel : sold out as Eye-dina Heinzel and then asked us if she was from Canada to which we replied that she was from Long Island and he proceeded to get quite excited.

So at last we were there, and it was only a little after eight. We rushed in and found our seats and actually sat for about five minutes before the opening act started. The opening act was pretty good. Natalie went out at the intermission and bought his CD and got his autograph and I sat in my seat staring at people I “knew” but was too freaked out to go talk to (that’s right Laura, I saw you in your seat a few rows in front of me) Natalie also took a nap while we waited for the intermission to end. Every time whatever song was playing would end there would be a few seconds of silence and I would get all excited thinking the show was about to start…it wasn’t.

Finally the lights went down and the band started playing and I grabbed Natalie’s leg, in a good mood at last. Idina came out and all of a sudden there was a giant grin on my face. I was so happy that I took the trip. It’s great to be able to watch someone who can sing as well if not better live than their CD and Idina definitely falls into that category. Idina told us that her graduation ceremony took place at the Tilles Center and she sported a lovely too orange tan. She pointed out the general vicinity of where she sat. When ‘Brave’ was starting Idina had to ask if it was in fact Brave because there was a little bit of new tunage going on at the keyboard J She went through what I am fairly certain is her usual routine of jokes that, how should I put it…perhaps parents of younger children would not appreciate, but I still enjoyed them :P When she was singing ‘Heartbreaker’ she got so into the song it was a really cool thing to see.  Being that we were in Long Island a lot of her stories revolved around the time that she was growing up there. There was a good one about when she had to get a job at a deli or something. She was the till girl but she said it didn’t work out very well because she wasn’t very good at giving people back their change. She said there would always be that one person who would try to make it easier for you but they would actually just confuse you, which is very true. I can certainly relate. As Idina was getting ready to sing ‘No Day But Today’ someone told her that some high school was going to be doing Rent this year. Idina’s response was something along the lines of “really? Don’t talk to me when I’m about to sing” but she went on to talk about how the good thing about Rent closing is that schools can do it now and she thought it would be really good for some kids and their families. In the middle of ‘No Day But Today’ Idina asked the band to bring down the volume and she mentioned that Taye was there (at which point basically everyone that I could see immediately twisted around in their seats in what I assume was and attempt to find out if he was sitting around them…as if they wouldn’t have noticed him before…) Idina told Taye how much she loved him and then had us all continue the “no day but today” part repetitively. At one point she didn’t really cue us to continue so we all kind of stopped singing and she said something like “I didn’t’ tell you to stop…I can’t sing when I’m crying”

Idina sang two new songs that she had just written recently. ‘Spiraling and ‘Butterfly’. ‘Spiraling was very cool I really enjoyed it and what it was about and ‘Butterfly’ was kind of really inspirational and moving. Both of them were very well done. ‘Spiraling’ was so recent she had the lyrics on stage with her,

When Idina was singing ‘For Good’ and she took out her ear piece and lowered the microphone the effect was amazing. It was unbelievable how amazing she could sing. The whole theater could hear her and it was just touching. Idina also sang ‘Company’ by Ricky Lee Jones. She said it had been a favorite of her and Taye’s from one of Taye’s mixed tapes “back when there were such things as mixed tapes”J I think my favorite response she used to address some screaming fan girls who yelled out We love you Idina (shock -_-) was something like “I love you too! I don’t really know you. It’s a cosmic thing. If I knew you better I could love you more”. I’m pretty sure I’ve used that joke myself so therefore it is a good one…(yes that is how it works). Unfortunately it had to end and after a long ‘Defying Gravity’ (during which Idina chastised some fans saying “what you’ve been requesting it all night and now you don’t sing?”) it did L An unbelievably amazing show that I am so happy I went to see. I don’t care if I owe my parents boat loads of money, that was an amazing experience. It was completely worth it and I would do it all over again. In fact if the opportunity arises I will definitely do it again.

So we went out to the lobby. I wanted a tour shirt but they were sold out L (this is why you get there early!) We wandered around outside the building for a while and eventually I got up the courage to run up and creepily harass Laura( yeah that’s right all stalkerish like) Then we called Sal to come pick us up. We asked him if he could take us to a convenience store so we could get snacks and he got out and bought some too. Then we went back to the hotel room and pigged out and went to sleep.

The next morning we left our hotel room in Long Island and took a train back into NYC fully intent on seeing the statue of liberty. We had a totally awesome cab driver there who showed us awesome things like Wall street and the site of the twin towers on the way there. It was foggy again so we could barely see the statue but it was still cool. We moseyed around the ark for a little but and then we headed to the airport. An extremely long wait at the airport, two delayed planes, and some bad in flight food later and we were back home L I wish I was still there. It was so much fun.

So yeah it's almost 1:30 in the am but I felt like posting an update...to the world of no one...anyway. I'm in kind of a spazzy mood, have been for a week and will be for this coming week? Why? Because my trip to New York is in seven days! I keep reading reviews of Idina's concerts and every one that I read gets me more and more excited and therefore more and more spazzy. I'm pretty sure a lot of people are annoyed by my hyper-ness but they will have to suck it up cause it wont go away for a while :D. This trip is going to be amazing. My mom is going to be there now which is also totally cool.

So yeah...Robin is gone now. She is in Australia until the end of August being an aupair which is sweet but she misses me a lot which is understandable :P I talked to her today and she mentioned how she got there and she had just missed their summer and when she gets back our summer will be over...sucks! Oh well she still gets to be in Australia so I don' t think she has the right to complain all that much ;).

Alright, I am very sleepy and I am fighting what I believe will be a losing battle against the urge to read some of my book. I have to get up at like eleven tomorrow(CRAZY EARLY!) so that I can party it up with some awesome friends over electronic monopoly and Star Trek scene it (you are jealous...admit it) so I am going to end this. Don't worry though. You had better believe there will be a review of my amazing next weekend which means lucky you, you will only have to wait a little over a week to hear from wondrous me. You can all sleep easy :P

So... as you might have noticed I tend to go through trends of being really into websites and then not going on them for a year. Oh well nobody reads these anyway so it doesn't really matter anyway now does it.
Let's see what has happened in my lkife since my last post? Last time I wrote something I was babysitting and there was that whole accident. Well I survived that week and I actually ended up babysitting for them again for about four days last October with no major mishaps so everything is good there.
I got an awesome summer job thanks to my friend, working at a greenhouse and I loved it so much there. I also went to Mexico with some friends that was an awesome trip. In August I went to Ottawa to spend some time with my mom while she was working and we went to Niagara Falls and the Hershey's Factory and we saw Wicked which was awesome and threw me into my latest obsession so that's all cool.

Currently I am going to school Monday-Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm. Not an ideal situation but at least I am at school so I can;t complain too much, I got a new job that I realy like but it's just a small locally owned company so they ended having to cut back my shifts for January because they couldn't really afford to keep me working as much. This was good because it means I can sleep in a lot more often but it is bad because I owe my parents boat loads of money.
Why do I owe my parents so much money? Because I am going to New York in March! Me and a friend are going to See Idina Menzel in New York and I managed to score us some tickets to Wicked and we are going to take the subway and go to Central Park and basically have an amazing time so that is pretty awesome.
Ok well I am very hungry and have spent the entire day doing absolutely nothing so I seriously craving some sort of interaction with anyone who can talk so theoretically I will be around another time...hopefully not in another year!

20 February 2008 @ 10:12 pm
So today was the day I was dreading the most for this whole Babysitting gig.

The two older girls had a concert and I was going to have to sit through it with their 87 year old Grandma and the other  year old that I was babysitting. I was not looking forward to it.

So we get there and of course the five year old is being bratty because he basically stopped listening to me the day after I started. He promised me he would behave but he was whining and trying to get away from me and not listening and he kept sitting on the ground. So finally his Grandma suggested we take him out to the car for a time out. As we were leaving the theatre he started trying to run away again so his Grandma grabbed his arm and he was still running. Well the both of them wiped out completely. He landed on his face and she landed on her hip. He started screaming immediately and she just lay there.

So here I am like what the crap do I do? There are people coming over and I didn't know who I should look at first. Some people started paying attention to her so I checked out the kid and he was fine he just bumped his cheek, so with my hand wrapped around his arm I turned to her.

She was fully conscious but she wasn't moving. I am like shaking like crazy and I ask her if I should call someone. She says yes call the ambulance. So I call the ambulance( my first time ever doing so) and they are on their way. The five year olds teacher comes out and takes him inside for me so I can stay outside with the Grandma. The principle of the kids school is totally helping out and really taking control of things cause there I am just crying.

So the ambulance took her away, I watched the concert and someone else took care of the five year old. The five year olds teacher and the vice principal met us at the kids house after the concert and helped me out for a bit and now we are just waiting for her to get x-rays so we know if anything broke.

The worst part of this whole thing is today both my parents left town. TODAY. My mom actually left like an hour before it happened. So I basically had no one to talk to. The worst stuff always happens when no one is there to help. This babysitting thing is turning me old much before my time. I keep telling myself"two more days" I can make it, but it seems like forces are working against me. This stinking five year old. The fates are testing me. First there was the non stop throw up day, now this. What else do I have to do? Please let me make it through this alive.

So today is Tuesday and I am full swing into reading week. Can you guess what kind of crazy fun things I am doing? That's right I am babysitting. Some friends of my family went to Florida and I am babysitting their three kids. Let's see I came over here the last day of school before reading week started and I am going to be here until next Saturday so basically my entire reading week. I don't get to sleep in once because on weekends these kids get up at 8:30 and of course they have school so on weekdays I get up at 6:45. And you might think oh at least I get Sunday to sleep in but that is not the case. on Sunday my sister has an early soccer game that I have to take her to :(

Anyway I'm not one of those kids who is always babysitting. I've done t a couple of times but I don't do it that often and now I am doing it fr an entire week. It really is non stop too because yesterday morning at about..5:30 the youngest one threw up all over his bed. So I spent most of yesterday chasing a five year old around with a bowl just in case he threw up again. I am completely exhausted.

The kids are 11, 8, and 5 so they all go to school but unfortunately the youngest one only does afternoons so I get a break for about 3 hours. Today will be my first break day because yesterday was family day and I am really looking forward to it. You can't know how much I am seriously craving some adult interaction. I would like to talk to some one who knows how to spell the word 'yogurt'.

The sucky thing about the timing of all this is that because my parents are out of town a lot I don't really get to see them much for a while. Let's see my Dad was gone for work on about the...12th and he came back after I was already here, but he leaves again tomorrow so he wont be back until next Thursday. My mom has been in town for the last little while but she is taking a vacation to Las Vegas for my Grandma's birthday. So she is leaving for Vegas tomorrow evening and she has to go straight from Vegas to Ottawa for work so she wont be back until about next Thursday ish I think. It kind of sucks. I did see both my parents on Sunday for a little bit cause I brought the kids home so I could get a little rest and see my mom.  also saw my mom for about 20 minutes yesterday when she came over to check on the sick one.

So this is my break even though it's not really one because the five year olds stuffed 'webkinz' raccoon hates me and wont stop biting me and trying to take my glasses. That is basically what keeps the five and eight year old entertained...trying to take my glasses...maybe I should go put my contacts in...there's a good idea. I have to do some laundry too. Well the babysitting is half over so here's hoping that I can make it through the rest of the week without ripping my hair out...cause I like my hair.

Yay so as of about 10 this morning I was officially done my first semester of college. I would feel a lot better about it if I thought that I would becoming back next semester but I am fairly certain I did not pass at least four classes with a 1.5. So this may have been my first and last semester at college.

So I now get to devote myself to doing nothing at all...except work...I really have to quit my job. I will work on that. I get like a month off and I would love to spend it not doing anything but unfortunately I don't think it is going to work out that way :( Oh well I can pretend I am a productive person. I have to at least get a job where there is no chance of me having to get up early because I decided this morning on the bus on the way to my Psychology exam that I hate mornings. Oh sure they are fine if they start at like 10 or 11 but when they start at 6 I mostly wish I had a secret supply of grenades.

So now it's Christmas. I love Christmas so much. Not only does everyone pretend that they are nice people (unless you are shopping) but there are pretty decorations, and yummy desserts, and good stuff like that. I am super excited for this Christmas cause like half of my family is coming to stay with us. The only downside is that I will be out of my room and may have to sleep
on the top bunk of my sisters bunk beds, terrifying. I can't wait for my mom to start her Christmas baking and this year there is going to be cheese log! yum. But anyway Iam going to fall asleep because I had to get up at stupid 6 in the morning. So bye

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

So last Thursday was my awesome birthday. That is right I am now 18 go me! So actual birthday my mom and my sister and I went to Montanas. I had to stand on the bench and put that gross hat thing with the horns on it on my head which frankly I find a little gross because you have no idea what kind of hygiene the person who wore that before you had. Anyway it was very traumatic. After that I went home and a couple of my friends came over and we watched Supernatural and Die Hard and had some amazingly good lava cake. I think I went to bed around 11pm

The next day was Friday and I went to Boston Pizza with about ten friends. We were there for about 4 hours just because every one had different schedules and by the time the last person got off work and got there we had been there a long time. So I think I had about five drinks just at Boston Pizza cause you know my friends all wanted to buy me one. I wasn't that bad though because the whole table shared them so it was more like 5 drinks for 10 people which averages out to about half a drink. At Boston Pizza I also had to stand on the bench while they sang to me which once again was very traumatic. After Boston Pizza about five of us went to a liquor store and picked up some alcohol and we went to someones house and had some drinks. There were only three of us drinking cause everyone else was driving. The two of my friends who were drinking downed like two quite quickly and were pretty drunk and they were upset that I wasn't drunk and they were trying to force me to drink and when I wouldn't one of them poured some of her drink on my head. I decided to move to a couch with two people who weren't drunk and I hid under a blanket and ended up falling asleep for about an hour. I left at about 1am with two friends(one sober, one drunk) where we proceeded to drive to Pizza 73 because the drunk one was hungry. We ate pizza in the car and then we went home I think I got home at about 2 and I probably went to bed around 2:30

Yesterday(Saturday) at11:00 my younger sister and I hopped on a bus and went to Calgary. I wanted to go to Calgary because I have 19 and 20 year old cousins and I wanted to do something fun with them. We were planning on going out to dinner with my Aunt and younger cousin and sister and then the four of us(my Aunt and two cousins) were going to go out to a couple of clubs. We started getting ready to go around 6 ish and we left the house at about 8ish. We went to The Cactus Club which is an awesome restaurant. At the Cactus Club all they did was put a candle in my cake so it wasn't too embarrassing. While we were sitting there we were all yawning and we decided that we were too tired to go out and we would go out Monday instead. We thought we would rent a movie and just hang out. Well when we got home there was about ten minutes left in the hockey game(Oil vs. Flames) so my younger cousin wanted to finish it. My Aunt went to bed as soon as we got home. My 20 year old cousin got under her blankets in her bed because she was freezing and she fell asleep. My 19 year old cousin went to watch the movie that we rented in her room and my sister was reading a book. So I decided to watch an episode of Heres and go to bed. I probably went to bed around 12:30.

We are supposed to go out tomorrow night but I don't know if that will work out. It is after all the Remembrance Day Holiday. All in all I just wanted to show you what a wild and crazy 18 year old I am. Oh man! I meant to buy a lottery ticket for last nights draw it was 37 million! Oh well next time.

That's right it is awesomeness. Know why? Cause I am writing it!

So today was an extremely boring day. I hate my Philosophy class. It is so boring. I have a theory that Philosophy isn't actually this boring and it is in fact my teacher. I haven't had a single Philosophy class yet where I haven't been sitting in there listening to her talk and then glanced at the clock expecting about half an hour to have passed only to find out that it has in fact only been ten minutes. She doesn't even seem like all that boring of a person it's just that she doesn't seem to know that there are ways to make class interesting. Like yesterday in Economics which s normally my second most boring class(not because the teacher is boring but mostly just because it is Economics) my teacher came up with a really great way to teach us a new concept. Amazingly it involved class participation and what was almost like a challenge. That is the way to prevent people from falling asleep. I have a term paper due next month that I am totally going to fail because I can't make myself pay attention in that class. I even sit in the front. I just start thinking about other things.

Anyway I scratched my eye again (FYI I do that a lot) and this time I am in much more pain than usual which sucks cause I have to work tomorrow and I am going to be talking to people and my eye will like start twitching or something.

I can't wait until I quit this job. I hate it there so much. I wish I didn't have to have a job. Work sucks. Grr. I have just now decided that the government should pay us money just because and then we could only work if we wanted to. I don't care if it would like wreck the economy or whatever as long as I don't have to work anymore. I have to start thinking about where I want to work after I quit this job. Where would a good place be? It has to be close by so that I can walk if I have to. My stinking parents wont let me use the stinking car.

I should go "study" or something.
